Discover Arts Award

What is Discover Arts Award?

Discover Arts Award is a certificate and introductory award for children and young people. It is also a creative and fun way to find out about RAMM and the many different things the museum has in it.

How can I complete my Discover Arts Award?

You can achieve your Discover Arts Award at RAMM this October half term!

Alfie the Sparrow

Pick up a RAMM Discover Arts Award activity booklet in the courtyard from Tuesday 24 October to Friday 27 October from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Follow Alfie the Sparrow around the museum at your own pace to complete arty activities and challenges in the galleries. You could do it all in one day or add to it over several visits.

You will need to complete all the sections in the activity booklet. When you have finished, hand it over to a museum staff member in the courtyard. They will check that enough has been filled in to achieve your Discover Arts Award. You will then receive a RAMM Arts Award badge as a prize for completing your booklet.

RAMM will moderate all booklets and apply to Trinity College London for your Discover Arts Award Certificate, which will take up to 12 weeks. We will post certificates to your home address or you can pick it up from RAMM Garden Reception.

What if I don’t finish before Friday 27 October?

If you would like to take your Arts Award activity booklet home with you and return to RAMM to finish it another time, that’s fine! You can hand it in to RAMM Garden Reception before Friday 1 December 2017.

Booklets are moderated at set times throughout the year: 1 December, 1 March, 4 June and 1 September. So don’t panic if you miss the hand in date! Your activity booklet will just be moderated in the next quarter.

We hope you enjoy discovering RAMM this October half term – Alfie the Sparrow is a great guide and will help you every step of the way!
