Explore RAMM online

There are lots of ways to explore RAMM online.  There are games, creating your own collection, trying a trail, or connecting with us on social media!

Connect in the museum with free Wi-Fi

Want to find our more about the objects in the galleries? Simply search on Collections Explorer. You can save and share what you discover using My collections.

If you’d like some help in discovering RAMM try the tours and trails. Made for mobile these take you through the museum following themes, people and objects. A BSL key objects trail is included.

Games and getting creative

Did you know the Hedgeland model of 18th-century Exeter is available in Minecraft? Download the map at bit.ly/RAMMHedgelandMap and there is a FAQ sheet as well.

There are lots of fun online activities for you to try. Inspired by the Courtyard gallery, watch the animation and then create and curate your own collection with Big Box [Flash player needed]. On Exeter Time Trail learn about Roman mosaics [Flash player needed] then make your own. See if you can dress the Roman legionary soldier [Flash player needed]. And remember the Young Visitors pages, with lots of ideas for fun things to do at home!

Outside the museum

Explore RAMM, Exeter, and Devon with the Mobile Time Trails on your mobile or tablet. For creative adventures further afield why not try Moor Stories, which links RAMM objects from Dartmoor with their original locations, or Church Detective, where you can help curator Tom find which Dartmoor churches the medieval wood carvings came from.
